Stop & Go
Route12-25 ydaka Sluggoaka Hitch and Go
Stem 5 yds, fake the hitch (small ROUNDED settle), then release vertical at full speed. Beats off-coverage corners who break aggressively on the hitch. Same family as sluggo (slant-and-go).
Demo rendered on @X (outside WR) at 19yd depth. Only the route runner and the QB are shown so the break stays the focus; the same route family scales to any depth a play calls for, and concepts that use this route may set a different depth.
How to run it
sell the hitch, then take it deep.
Reading it by coverage
How to run the stop & go against what the defense shows.
- Cover 1:
- vs off-man — sell the hitch to bait his drive, then take it deep on his recovery.
- Cover 3:
- bait the deep-third corner up on the hitch, then stack and run past him.
- Man:
- double-move — the harder he jumps the stop, the cleaner the go.
- Cover 0:
- not the call vs zero pressure — too slow-developing; hit the quick game instead.
