I-Formation (flag)

Flag-context I — QB in shotgun, 1-2 receivers stacked in a column directly behind QB at ~7 and ~10 yds, the remaining receivers split wide. Distinct from the tackle Pro-I (which uses a FB + HB under center). The stack receiver can release on a swing, screen, or vertical seam; the wide receivers stretch the defense to keep the box clear. Use for misdirection — motion the stack receiver, run a wide-side handoff, or send the stack on a wheel route after a hard play-fake.
