Diamond compressed: X and Z reduce their splits to ~3 yds from C (instead of the wide ~5 yds), while Y stays aligned at ~7 yds deep middle. The tight splits make pick / rub plays automatic against man press: X and C can cross paths inside 5 yds for a natural rub, and Y can release between the inside defenders. Use vs. teams that play hard man press and don't switch.
